LEHIGHTON, CARBON CO. — We’re continuing our coverage of the candidates running in the 2022 Pennsylvania midterm elections.

Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman, one of the Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate, made several campaign stops throughout Northeast PA this weekend as he was collecting the signatures required to be placed on the Democratic candidate ballot.

Dozens of Carbon County residents showed up in Lehighton this evening to meet their Lieutenant Governor and show their support for his second Senate run. Fetterman is running against a number of other Democratic candidates, and so far is leading in both the polls and fundraising.

“I think our policies and our agenda appeal to the largest percentage of Pennsylvanians,” said Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman, who doesn’t dress like your typical politician. He said he is just a regular guy from Pennsylvania running against at least 10 other Democrats in the primary.

Fetterman said currently, his biggest priority is to turn the highly contested Senate seat blue.

“Were going to do it with telling the truth. We’re going to do it and subscribing to basic fundamental democratic values and principles. We’re going to do it because unlike the other side, we actually live in Pennsylvania,” said Fetterman.
